Description
The SDS Diamond Burr SO Series features a parallel-sided cylindrical body with a pointed ogival bullet-shaped tip. This geometry combines the parallel cutting efficiency of a straight bur with the penetrating ability of a pointed tip, making it suitable for accessing narrow grooves, fissures, and caries lesions. The SO Series is effective for initial cavity entry and removing carious dentine from narrow access points.

Directions of Use
1. Use Black (SC) for initial fissure entry and caries excavation; Blue (S) for shaping cavity walls. 2. Seat FG shank in high-speed handpiece. Operate at 150,000-300,000 RPM with water coolant. 3. Enter narrow fissures and grooves using the pointed tip with very light pressure. 4. Expand the cavity outline using the lateral cylindrical surface. 5. Avoid lateral rocking or excessive force and use intermittent, controlled strokes. 6. Autoclave after use. Replace when tip integrity or cutting efficiency is compromised.
