Description
The SDS Diamond Burr SI Series features an inverted truncated cone shape wider at the tip than at the neck for creating mechanical undercut retentions in cavity preparations. The diverging geometry allows the clinician to create defined undercut walls in a single controlled movement, essential for retentive inlay, onlay, and direct composite preparations where mechanical retention is required.

Directions of Use
1. Select grit: Black (SC) for initial cavity extension; Blue (S) for standard undercut creation; Green (C) for controlled intermediate reduction. 2. Seat FG shank in high-speed handpiece. Operate at 150,000-300,000 RPM with water coolant. 3. Insert bur into the prepared cavity outline at the desired undercut location. 4. Apply gentle lateral pressure against the axial wall and allow the diverging geometry to create the undercut naturally. 5. Work in controlled short strokes and avoid over-insertion which may excessively widen the cavity floor. 6. Autoclave after use. Discard if cone geometry is chipped or lateral diamond coating is worn.
