About this product

Pack of 5 burrs

Description

The SDS Carbide Burr FG Series is a complete range of solid tungsten carbide burs built on the friction-grip (FG) shank for high-speed air-rotor turbine handpieces. The series spans the everyday operative and surgical shapes in one family: cross-cut tapered fissure burs for rapid reduction and sectioning (including 25 mm surgical-length variants), straight (cylindrical) fissure burs in both plain and cross-cut for flat-floored, parallel-walled cavities, the classic 245 operative bur for conservative Class I and II preparations, a slender tapered fissure for fine detailing, and a surgical-length 169L for tooth sectioning. Standard 19.5 mm and extended 25 mm surgical lengths cover both operative and oral-surgical needs.

Key Features

• Solid tungsten carbide heads on the FG (friction grip) shank for high-speed air-rotor handpieces • Full range of geometries - tapered fissure (cross & plain cut), straight fissure, operative 245, surgical 169L • Standard 19.5 mm and extended 25 mm surgical lengths in one series • Cross-cut blades for fast cutting; plain-cut blades for smooth finishing • Laser-welded shank for true concentric, vibration-free rotation • Autoclavable and reusable

Other Features

• Cross-cut tapered/straight fissure burs (701, 702, 703, 702L, 703L, 560) for rapid reduction and sectioning • Plain-cut burs (1558, 271) for smooth wall refinement and fine detailing • FG-245 is the standard bur for conservative Class I and II cavity preparation • Surgical-length 169L / 702L / 703L for oral-surgical access and tooth sectioning • Suitable for enamel, dentine, amalgam, composite, metal, ceramic and bone depending on figure

Directions of Use

1. Select the figure for the task - fissure burs for cutting/sectioning, 245 for cavity prep, surgical-length figures for oral surgery. 2. Seat the FG shank firmly in the high-speed air-rotor handpiece. 3. Operate at high speed with continuous water (or sterile saline for surgery) coolant. 4. Cut with light, intermittent strokes - keep the bur moving; do not lever surgical burs. 5. Maintain copious irrigation during sectioning and bone work to prevent thermal injury. 6. Autoclave after use. Discard any bur when cutting efficiency drops or blades are worn.

Why SDS Endo Burr

SDS Carbide Burrs are precision-machined from solid tungsten carbide and laser-welded to a hardened stainless steel shank for true concentric, chatter-free rotation. Each blade is ground to a consistent rake angle for clean, efficient cutting and long working life. Every bur passes strict quality checks for concentricity, blade geometry, and dimensional accuracy before dispatch. Engineered as a reliable, cost-effective alternative to leading imported brands, SDS Carbide Burrs deliver clinical-grade cutting performance at an accessible price - the smart choice for the modern Indian dental practice.
