About this product
PACK OF 5 BURRS
Description
The SDS Carbide Burr HP Series is a complete range of solid tungsten carbide burs built on the long 44.5 mm straight-handpiece (HP) shank, for use in straight and contra-angle low- and medium-speed handpieces (micromotor). The series covers the core operative and surgical shapes in one family: round (ball) burs for caries excavation and cavity/endodontic access, cross-cut tapered fissure burs for rapid bulk reduction and the sectioning of crowns, bridges and teeth, and plain-cut tapered fissure burs for smooth refinement of preparation walls. The extended HP shank gives clear visibility and reach for operative, laboratory and minor surgical procedures.
Key Features
• Solid tungsten carbide heads on the long 44.5 mm HP (straight handpiece) shank • Three core geometries in one series - round, cross-cut tapered fissure, plain-cut tapered fissure • For straight / contra-angle low- and medium-speed handpieces (micromotor) • Cross-cut blades for fast cutting; plain-cut blades for smooth finishing • Laser-welded shank for true concentric, vibration-free rotation • Autoclavable and reusable
Other Features
• Round burs (04, 06, 08) for caries excavation, access cavities and retention features • Cross-cut tapered fissure burs (701, 702, 703) for bulk reduction and crown/tooth sectioning • Plain-cut tapered fissure burs (1702, 1703) for refining and smoothing walls • Suitable for enamel, dentine, amalgam, composite, metal and ceramic depending on figure • Extended shank gives visibility and reach in operative, lab and surgical use
Directions of Use
1. Select the figure for the task - round for access/excavation, cross-cut fissure for bulk cutting/sectioning, plain-cut fissure for refinement. 2. Seat the HP shank fully in the straight or contra-angle handpiece chuck. 3. Operate at low-to-medium speed with continuous water or air coolant. 4. Cut with light, intermittent strokes - let the blades do the work; avoid sustained pressure. 5. Keep the bur moving to prevent heat build-up. 6. Autoclave after use. Discard any bur when blades are dull or the head loses its profile.
Why SDS Endo Burr
SDS Carbide Burrs are precision-machined from solid tungsten carbide and laser-welded to a hardened stainless steel shank for true concentric, chatter-free rotation. Each blade is ground to a consistent rake angle for clean, efficient cutting and long working life. Every bur passes strict quality checks for concentricity, blade geometry, and dimensional accuracy before dispatch. Engineered as a reliable, cost-effective alternative to leading imported brands, SDS Carbide Burrs deliver clinical-grade cutting performance at an accessible price - the smart choice for the modern Indian dental practice.
