Denu Dual Cure

Denu Dual Core is a dual-cured (light + self-cured) flowable core build-up resin for restoring compromised tooth structure prior to indirect crown or bridge restorations. Its dual-cure mechanism is its defining clinical advantage: light activation initiates rapid polymerization in accessible areas (depth 5.1mm in just 20 seconds), while the self-cure component guarantees complete polymerization in areas light cannot reach — beneath the final crown margin and in deep cavity zones. Compressive strength of 310 MPa provides the mechanical foundation required under full occlusal loading. High bond strength to dentin, enamel, and post systems (fiber and metal) secures the core in place under cyclic masticatory stress. Shade A3 (yellow) enables clear visual differentiation from natural tooth structure during crown preparation.

1. Ensure the post is cemented and all prepared surfaces are clean and dry. 2. Apply bonding agent to prepared dentin and enamel surfaces. Air-thin and light cure. 3. Attach the auto-mix tip to the Dual Core syringe. Discard the first 1–2mm of dispensed material to ensure consistent mix ratio. 4. Dispense Dual Core directly from the tip into the core space around the post. 5. Sculpt the core to the desired shape using a plastic instrument before light activation. 6. Light cure for 20 seconds from multiple access angles (minimum 5.1mm depth achieved). 7. Allow additional self-cure time (3–5 minutes) for areas not directly exposed to curing light. 8. Proceed with crown preparation. Yellow shade of Dual Core provides clear contrast with natural tooth for precise preparation without inadvertent dentin removal.
