Mixing Ratios For Luting Glass Ionomer: Use a ratio of 1.8g to 2g powder to 1g liquid. For Restorative Glass Ionomer: Use a ratio of 2.8g to 3g powder to 1g liquid. Dispensing Gently turn the bottle upside down to avoid trapping air. Squeeze the bottle slowly for accurate dispensing of the liquid.

Dispense the powder and liquid onto a mixing pad. Divide the powder into two equal parts. Mix the first portion with all the liquid for 10 seconds. Add the remaining powder and mix thoroughly for 15-20 seconds until a uniform consistency is achieved.

All setting times are calculated from the start of mixing. Times may vary depending on the powder used.

For pulp proximity less than 1-1.5 mm, use pulp protection such as Calcium Hydroxide. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with water and seek medical help. Avoid using APPA UNIVERSE on patients with known allergies to glass ionomers.
