WhatsApp Reminders & Marketing
WhatsApp is where Indian patients actually read messages — so AmritSmile builds appointment reminders, two-way patient conversations and marketing broadcasts directly into the clinic's own WhatsApp Business number, instead of leaving it as a separate tool the front desk has to juggle.
Automatic appointment reminders
Every clinic gets automatic WhatsApp (and SMS) reminders the evening before an appointment and again roughly an hour before it, with no manual sending required. A clinic that hasn't connected its own number yet still gets this through a shared AmritSmile number, billed per message from a top-up wallet — reminders work from day one, before any setup.
Connecting your own WhatsApp number
Connecting the clinic's own WhatsApp Business number — through Meta's official onboarding, directly inside AmritSmile — unlocks a flat monthly plan instead of per-message billing, plus features the shared number can't offer:
Reminders and notifications go out from the clinic's own number instead of a shared one, one-way.
Everything above, plus two-way patient chat and marketing broadcasts from the same number.
A clinic running multiple branches can connect one WhatsApp Business number per branch under a single business account, or share one number across branches — patient conversations stay isolated to the branch that owns them either way.
Two-way patient chat
On the Chat plan, patients can reply on WhatsApp and the front desk answers from inside AmritSmile — no separate phone, no switching apps, and the conversation sits alongside the patient's own record rather than in a personal WhatsApp account that leaves with whoever's phone it was on.
Marketing broadcasts
Beyond transactional reminders, a clinic can build an audience — manually, or by importing a CSV of existing patients — and send a templated WhatsApp broadcast to all of them at once: a recall campaign, a new-treatment announcement, a festive offer. Every broadcast reports back a per-recipient funnel (sent → delivered → read → replied → booked), and a booking or payment made within 14 days of a campaign is attributed back to it, so a clinic can see which broadcast actually brought a patient in rather than guessing.
Patients who opt out stay out automatically on every future campaign, and marketing messages never go out between 9 PM and 9 AM — the quiet hours are enforced by AmritSmile itself, not left to the clinic to remember.
