Billing, Razorpay & POS Payments
Most dental clinic software in India stops at generating a PDF invoice — someone still has to key the amount into a card machine by hand, or chase a patient for an online payment separately. AmritSmile's billing goes one step further: it also collects the payment, through a Razorpay payment link or a Pine Labs card machine wired directly in, and reconciles the bill the moment the money actually lands.
GST-ready invoicing
An invoice is generated in one tap from the treatment just completed — the treatment name, default price and the correct GST rate and HSN code are already filled in, pulled from the clinic's Treatments catalogue. The clinic's GSTIN, registered address and logo print on every bill automatically, from its Invoice Profile.
A single bill can be split across cash, card and UPI in any proportion, and discounts can be applied per treatment line item — within a maximum the Admin sets per role, with every discount logged for audit. Running more than one branch? Each clinic keeps its own Invoice Profile, GSTIN and invoice-number series, so a bill from one location never carries another branch's legal details.
Collecting payment, not just recording it
A clinic can connect two different payment rails directly into AmritSmile billing — independently, and both entirely optional:
Razorpay — online booking fees & QR billing
Connecting the clinic's own Razorpay account (its own account, its own bank settlement — AmritSmile never touches the money) switches on two things at once:
- Paid online bookings — require a fee before a patient's self-booked online appointment is confirmed, so an unpaid slot never becomes a no-show.
- Razorpay QR billing at the front desk — generate a bill, show a QR on screen, the patient scans with any UPI app, and the bill marks itself paid the moment Razorpay confirms it. No manual "mark as paid" step.
Clinics with more than one branch can share a single Razorpay account across all of them instead of completing KYC again per location.
Pine Labs — card machine integration
If the clinic's existing card machine runs on Pine Labs (many bank-branded machines — HDFC, Axis, ICICI and others — actually run on Pine Labs underneath), AmritSmile can push the bill amount straight to that machine. The cashier keys in a short reference code instead of the amount, the patient taps or swipes as usual, and the moment the machine confirms the payment, the bill is marked paid automatically — no second system, no manually typed amount, no "did I enter that right" moment at the counter.
Reporting & outstanding dues
The Billing Report rolls up every transaction by day, doctor and payment mode, so the figure at close of business matches what's actually in the drawer. Payment Analysis goes further — collections trends over time, revenue by treatment and by doctor, and every outstanding balance ranked by amount, so follow-ups start with the patients who owe the most, not whoever happens to come to mind.
Setting it up
Both integrations are connected from the clinic owner's profile menu, and take only the account details the payment provider already issues — no code, no developer needed. Step-by-step guides:
